It Starts with Us Giving
Campaign

The It Starts with
Us
giving campaign began in 2009 as a consolidated effort to connect
employees, physicians, and staff to philanthropy at Lucile Packard Children’s
Hospital Stanford. We are grateful that our Packard Children’s team members
continue to support this campaign by prioritizing philanthropy at our
hospital.

The 2019 It Starts with
Us
giving campaign focuses on encouraging all employees to participate with a
donation of any size
and celebrating your generosity in supporting the patients
and families in our care.

FAQs

How do I
donate?

You can donate
online
, through payroll deductions by visiting your ADP or eConnect account, or
by sending your remit envelope via mail.

Can I choose where
my donation goes?

Yes! We encourage you to designate your
gift to the area that means the most to you. Can’t decide?
The Children’s Fund is a great place to
start! If you have further questions about gift designation, please reach out to
Megan.Williams@lpfch.org.

Is participation in the
employee giving campaign mandatory?

No. We recognize that
giving is a personal decision.

I’d like to get
more involved in fundraising for my department or specific area of
interest.

That’s fabulous! There are
many ways to get involved with giving to our hospital. Please connect with
our Champions for Children program to start a
fundraising campaign of your own.

I
work at a clinic/unit offside from the Main and West Buildings, can I still
participate?

Yes! The It Starts WIth
Us
Campaign is a team effort and we encourage all employees associated with
Stanford Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital
Stanford to participate.

Is my donation
tax-deductible?

Yes! You will get a receipt emailed to you
if you gave
online
or mailed to you if you gave in person or via
mail.

What is the Lucile Packard Foundation for
Children's Health?

The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s
Health
is the sole fundraising entity for Lucile Packard
Children’s Hospital Stanford and the child health programs at Stanford University
School of Medicine. Philanthropy supports clinical care, research, and education to improve
the health of children and expectant mothers, locally and worldwide. All Foundation
employees undergo extensive HIPAA and PHI training. The Foundation respects the privacy
concerns of individual donors and directs and stewards funds consistent with donor
intent.

The campaign seems expensive, where does
the money come from?

The It Starts with
Us
campaign has had a long-standing sponsor partnership with Stanford Federal
Credit Union for campaign related events and marketing. Donations to the
Children's Fund—100 percent—go to support
the patients and families we
serve.
