Patel recurri\u00f3 a la filantrop\u00eda para estudiar la rentabilidad de facilitar el acceso al agua potable en las escuelas primarias. Sus hallazgos se han presentado a legisladores para apoyar la legislaci\u00f3n de California que busca mejorar el acceso al agua potable en las escuelas.<\/p>\n<p>El trabajo del Dr. Patel cobr\u00f3 impulso r\u00e1pidamente, lo que result\u00f3 en financiaci\u00f3n adicional de los Institutos Nacionales de Salud para ampliar estas iniciativas a las guarder\u00edas que atienden a familias de bajos ingresos en el \u00c1rea de la Bah\u00eda.
