Experiencias normales de la infancia, como ir a la escuela, eran impensables.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">A lo largo de todo este proceso, Mar\u00eda y su familia confiaron en la atenci\u00f3n infalible de nuestro hospital y de su doctora, Carol Conrad, MD.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">El 7 de noviembre de 2012, Mar\u00eda recibi\u00f3 un regalo maravilloso: un trasplante bipulmonar. Nos coment\u00f3 que estaba profundamente agradecida por el apoyo de los donantes del hospital, como usted, y por el Dr. Conrad, de quien dijo que estuvo \u00aba mi lado en mis dificultades, en mis reveses, en mis innumerables hospitalizaciones y, sobre todo, en mis \u00e9xitos\u00bb.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Lamentablemente, el 7 de abril de 2016, Mar\u00eda falleci\u00f3 inesperadamente tras una enfermedad, rodeada de su familia.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cTen\u00eda una sabidur\u00eda que superaba su edad\u201d, dice Marianela, la madre de Mar\u00eda, quien encuentra consuelo al saber que Mar\u00eda fue una inspiraci\u00f3n para todos los que la conocieron. \u201cQuiero seguir trabajando con otras familias que luchan contra la fibrosis qu\u00edstica y compartir con ellas algo de la fortaleza de Mar\u00eda\u201d. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durante muchos a\u00f1os, la fibrosis qu\u00edstica le dificult\u00f3 a Mar\u00eda respirar, combatir infecciones y absorber nutrientes de los alimentos.
