Debby y Michael Fatjo ten\u00edan una visi\u00f3n para su futuro. Michael se hab\u00eda jubilado tras una carrera en ventas y Debby de un puesto directivo como psicoterapeuta en Kaiser Permanente. Anhelaban seguridad financiera en su jubilaci\u00f3n y dedicar su tiempo a vivir de acuerdo con sus valores. Al acercarse a esta nueva etapa de la vida, reflexionaron sobre una casa que ten\u00edan alquilada: si bien apreciaban los ingresos, su gesti\u00f3n se estaba volviendo una carga. Comenzaron a analizar sus opciones y se pusieron en contacto con organizaciones ben\u00e9ficas que coincid\u00edan con las prioridades de su familia: la salud y la educaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Cuando los Fatjo se informaron sobre donaciones planificadas, quedaron impresionados con la respuesta de la Fundaci\u00f3n Lucile Packard para la Salud Infantil. Debby y Michael sintieron, desde el principio, que trabajaban con un equipo experto y profesional que los hizo sentir muy c\u00f3modos. Michael coment\u00f3: \u00abNo est\u00e1bamos familiarizados con el concepto de donaciones con renta vitalicia, como las anualidades de donaci\u00f3n caritativa o los fideicomisos de remanente caritativo, y r\u00e1pidamente nos explicaron las diversas opciones, los beneficios y el impacto que este tipo de donaciones podr\u00eda tener para nosotros y para el hospital\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Pronto se dieron cuenta de que, al donar sus bienes inmuebles, pod\u00edan recibir muchos beneficios fiscales y, adem\u00e1s, simplificar sus vidas. Tanto Debby como Michael quedaron impresionados de que las donaciones con renta vitalicia permitan a las familias dejar un legado duradero y, al mismo tiempo, mantenerse durante sus a\u00f1os de jubilaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michael falleci\u00f3 en 2020, y Debby sigue recibiendo ingresos de las rentas vitalicias financiadas con bienes ra\u00edces, lo que le brinda tranquilidad gracias a los planes que establecieron hace a\u00f1os. Debby es miembro de la Auxiliar de San Jos\u00e9 y colabora semanalmente en su tienda de segunda mano, cuyas ganancias se donan al Hospital Infantil Packard.<\/p>\n
