En medio del ajetreo del vest\u00edbulo del Hospital Infantil Lucile Packard de Stanford, la artista Lynne Glendenning est\u00e1 sentada tranquilamente, organizando una colorida variedad de marcadores, pinturas y brillantina en preparaci\u00f3n para un d\u00eda ajetreado.<\/span><\/p>\n

Una vez que todo est\u00e1 en orden, toma una alcanc\u00eda met\u00e1lica rosa y blanca y elige un rotulador permanente. En cuesti\u00f3n de minutos, ha adornado la caja con el nombre Ava, a\u00f1adiendo un toque de estilo y brillo a la tapa.<\/p>\n

\u201cTodos los ni\u00f1os merecen algo especial\u201d, dice Lynne. \u201cTener un regalo con su nombre lo hace a\u00fan m\u00e1s personal\u201d.<\/p>\n

Un par de veces al mes, Lynne instala su mesa frente a la tienda de regalos del hospital y ofrece personalizaci\u00f3n gratuita de art\u00edculos con un precio de $10 o m\u00e1s. Durante diez a\u00f1os, ha a\u00f1adido nombres y mensajes a todo tipo de objetos, desde huchas con forma de magdalena hasta peluches de jirafas bailarinas. Como miembro de la Asociaci\u00f3n Roth del hospital, que gestiona la tienda de regalos y se dedica a ayudar a las familias que no pueden costear el tratamiento de sus hijos, Lynne afirma que disfruta pudiendo ofrecer algo a los pacientes y sus familias.<\/p>\n

Hace poco m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada, Lynne ya era una artista consagrada que trabajaba con familias de toda el \u00c1rea de la Bah\u00eda y m\u00e1s all\u00e1, creando murales \u00fanicos para habitaciones infantiles.
