Hace veinte a\u00f1os, un ni\u00f1o diagnosticado con c\u00e1ncer se enfrentaba a una vida corta llena de sustancias qu\u00edmicas t\u00f3xicas, largas estancias hospitalarias y m\u00faltiples cirug\u00edas. El tratamiento adoptaba un enfoque estandarizado, y el objetivo era la remisi\u00f3n en lugar de la curaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoy en d\u00eda, los avances en investigaci\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda han transformado el diagn\u00f3stico y el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer, con resultados extraordinarios: casi el 85 % de los ni\u00f1os con leucemia linfobl\u00e1stica aguda, la forma m\u00e1s com\u00fan de leucemia en la infancia, llegan a la edad adulta. La tasa de supervivencia global a cinco a\u00f1os para el c\u00e1ncer infantil ronda el 80 %.<\/p>\n

Tratamiento de por vida<\/h2>\n
