Queridos amigos,<\/p>\n

Gracias a su apoyo al Fondo para la Infancia, los investigadores de todo el campus de Stanford se est\u00e1n uniendo para resolver algunos de los desaf\u00edos m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles que enfrentan los ni\u00f1os y las madres embarazadas en nuestra comunidad y en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Los d\u00f3lares de los donantes y las subvenciones del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n de Salud Maternoinfantil hacen posible que los investigadores puedan ser creativos a la hora de resolver los desaf\u00edos de salud, tomar riesgos y acelerar el descubrimiento.<\/p>\n

En 2018, otorgamos $420,000 a investigadores del profesorado para promover proyectos piloto innovadores. Los temas clave incluyeron la predicci\u00f3n temprana de la preeclampsia, el riesgo y la resiliencia en ni\u00f1os preescolares y la fenotipificaci\u00f3n de la depresi\u00f3n adolescente. Por cada $1 otorgado, proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n innovadores como estos han generado hist\u00f3ricamente $6 en financiaci\u00f3n adicional, lo que demuestra el poder de la filantrop\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Quiz\u00e1s haya notado un cambio sutil pero importante en el nombre del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n de Salud Infantil de Stanford. Ahora somos el Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n de Salud Maternoinfantil de Stanford (MCHRI), lo que refleja nuestro compromiso de larga data con la salud materna. Probablemente haya visto noticias sobre c\u00f3mo la salud materna en Estados Unidos ocupa un lugar sorprendentemente bajo en comparaci\u00f3n con pa\u00edses similares en todo el mundo.
