El Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n en Salud Maternoinfantil de Stanford utiliza las donaciones del Fondo para la Infancia para financiar sus subvenciones piloto sobre racismo estructural, injusticia social y disparidades en la salud maternoinfantil.<\/p>\n<p>En 2022, la onc\u00f3loga y beneficiaria de la subvenci\u00f3n, Stephanie Smith, MD, MPH, se reuni\u00f3 con sobrevivientes de c\u00e1ncer, sus familias y l\u00edderes de la organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro Jacob&#039;s Heart, que brinda servicios vitales a familias que enfrentan el c\u00e1ncer infantil en el Valle de Salinas.<\/p>\n<p>Los sobrevivientes de c\u00e1ncer experimentan secuelas del tratamiento en su salud f\u00edsica y mental, y la investigaci\u00f3n del Dr. Smith identific\u00f3 otros desaf\u00edos para muchos de estos j\u00f3venes en el Valle de Salinas.
