An older Black man wearing a gray suit and older Black woman with long hair are embracing a younger Black woman who appears to have developmental disabilities. They are all smiling and standing in front of a brick wall.

Do you have a story about your experiences with your child with disability and/or medical complexity in health care? Do you wish you could use that story to teach medical students and residents?

The University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Bluebird Way Foundation are searching for these stories and will use them as they host quarterly virtual Family-Led Academic Grand (FLAG) Rounds, which flips the traditional model of Grand Rounds and adopts families as educators. Families will write and present their stories to foster knowledge, skills, and abilities among medical students and residents. Learn more about this project.

If you need help choosing your story, join the virtual Narrative Medicine workshop.*
