Local Leaders Elected to Board of Children’s Health Foundation
PALO ALTO – Three leaders in philanthropy were elected June 14 to the board of directors of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health.
Elaine Chambers has been recognized for her commitment to education and children’s interests at the local and national level. Chambers and her husband, John, are trustees of the Chambers Family Foundation and are active philanthropists in the Bay Area. They are supporters of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, where Elaine Chambers has served as a volunteer ambassador.
Anne Lawler is an active volunteer with local education and health organizations, including the Children’s Health Council, Menlo School and East Side Preparatory High School. She served as a board member for the Stanford Health Library and as a patient representative at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital before joining the foundation’s Children’s Circle of Care Steering Committee in 1999.
George Phipps is partner with Oak Hill Investment Management L.P., a private asset management firm in Menlo Park. He is a member of the advisory councils for the Wildlife Conservation Society, Environmental Defense, and The Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford, and a former trustee of the National Outdoor Leadership School.
