The D10 is raising funds for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford with its signature 10-event athletic competition. We invite you to volunteer at this fun, challenging day of physical tests that will get your heart racing all in the name of raising money for life-saving cancer research and treatment.

The D10 is a nationwide athletic tour that has raised $12 million for pediatric cancer research across the country. Learn more on the D10 website!

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Heat Host: A Heat Host is responsible for guiding a heat through all 10 events, ensuring each event starts on schedule,  conducting in the correct sequence, and dictating the overall pace of the day.
  • Judge: The judge is required to study The D10's Rule Book prior to attending an event. They are solely responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Rule Book. The judge does not count repetitions, or time events, but rather enforces proper body positioning in strength events and maintains proper functioning of automatic timing systems for running events.
  • E-Scorekeeper: The D10 records results using a proprietary mobile scoring tool. The e-scorekeeper is given private credentials to access the scoring tool on their iPhone. The e-scorekeeper records results on their phone, which are auto-populated to real-time leaderboards and results tables displayed on-site via televisions and iPads. These scores are offered to remote fans viewing real-time scores online.
  • Event Manager Support: The Event Manager Support shadows The D10's Event Manager (EM). Specifically, they will assist the EM with troubleshooting any/all issues involving vendors, partners, and sponsors, and provide the EM with real-time check-ins to ensure the event is running on schedule. Volunteers engage and escort VIPs to defined viewing locations, and stock the VIP-area and on-field food & beverage (F&B) for athletes.
