In 2017, my son, Barron, was rushed to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford for a very rare (and potentially deadly) form of strep. During Barron’s treatment, a dear friend sent me a gorgeous bouquet of roses with a note that simply said, "Don't give up."
At that moment, it was the message I needed to move forward and have faith my little boy would heal.
Thanks to the amazing care team at Packard Children’s, Barron did heal. Today, he is 6 years old and loves basketball, Star Wars, and playing with his nearly-3-year-old little brother. I vowed one day I would give back to this amazing hospital and to children and families who might need their own message of courage.
This spring, as we celebrate the 2-year anniversary of Barron’s release from the hospital with a clean bill of health, I’m pleased to say I'm giving back through my eco-friendly flower brand, Bloom & Birch—real flowers that last over a year (no joke!).
For every purchase of a Cupcake for Kindness, we will give $10 back to Packard Children’s! Shop online or at our pop-up at Nordstrom in Palo Alto and an additional 5 percent of proceeds will also be donated.
Thank you for giving our family hope and comfort.
With gratitude,
Suzanne
