On Sunday, June 21, more than 2,500 Scamper-ers filled the Stanford campus with energy and community spirit at the Summer Scamper 5k, Kids’ Fun Run, and Family Festival. Whether you crossed the finish line, cheered from the sidelines, or raised funds from near and far—you made this day truly special.
Together, we didn’t just reach our goal—we surpassed it. Our community raised more than $880,000 for 루실 패커드 소아병원 스탠포드 and the child health programs at the Stanford School of Medicine. Since 2011, Summer Scamper has raised nearly $8 million for children’s health. Every dollar goes directly to supporting care, comfort, and cures for kids and families who need it most.
A special shout out to two teams that raised record-breaking totals this year: Family Guidance and Bereavement Program, which raised more than $120,000 to support our hospital’s compassionate, specialized support for families grieving the loss of a child or pregnancy; and Social Services for All Children, which raised over $117,000 for the Social Services Department. We’re so thankful for their incredible commitment and the difference it will make for kids and families.
We’re especially grateful to this year’s Patient Heroes—Sadie, Tyler, Audrey, Sophia, Diana, and Shivam—who inspire all of us with their courage and helped us count down the start of the 5k. Read more about their stories.
The celebration continued at the Family Festival, where our incredible vendors brought the day to life with music, food, family-friendly activities, and plenty of joy and laughter.
