Layunin
Children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and their families rely on health care services that are often fragmented and challenging to navigate. In a time ng historic cuts to Medicaid and significant policy changes, access to systems and services needs to be safeguarded in California and nationally. In this project, the National Health Law Program will continue its core work to advocate for CYSHCN at the state and federal levels, prioritizing health care coverage para sa populasyon na ito. Key activities include engaging with family-led organizations to ensure that families’ voices and legal rights remain central to policy decisions, developing consumer-facing resources to help families understand changes to their health coverage and benefits, providing education and training to advocates, and identifying systemic issues and policy gaps to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
