Generation Patient’s Roundtable sa mga Young Adult na may Malalang Medikal na Kondisyon brought together a learning community of young adult patients, health care professionals, caregivers, researchers, policymakers, advocates, and others to explore the most pressing systems-level challenges impacting young adults living with chronic and rare conditions (see video recording below).

Co-authored by young adults with chronic conditions and members of the project team, proceedings for each roundtable will highlight key insights and actionable recommendations based on the roundtable discussion, and will be disseminated through peer-reviewed journals.

The seventh roundtable explored the influence of AI technologies on health care delivery, mental health support, and the lived experience of young adults with chronic conditions. Roundtable participants explored AI’s role in care coordination, telehealth, and mental health; challenges of data privacy, algorithmic bias, and regulatory oversight; and strategies for embedding patient voices in the design, evaluation, and governance of AI tools.

Roundtable #7 co-leaders:

  • Terry Adirim, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences
  • Kenzie Isaac, Doctoral Candidate in Population Health & Bioethics at the University of Oxford
