The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health has welcomed Jonathan Coslet, board chair of Stanford Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, to its Board of Directors.
Coslet joined the Foundation’s board on Jan. 1 as an ex officio member, reflecting his leadership positions at Stanford Children’s and Packard Children’s Hospital, which also began on Jan. 1.
An investment executive, Coslet brings decades of experience in private equity management to the Foundation, which raises funds for child and maternal health at Packard Children’s Hospital and the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Coslet is vice chairman and senior partner of TPG Global. Prior to joining TPG in 1993, he worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1991 to 1993 and at Drexel Burnham Lambert from 1987 to 1989, specializing in leveraged acquisitions.
“We’re thrilled to have someone with Jonathan’s financial acumen and strategic planning skills on our board of directors,” says Elizabeth Dunlevie, board chair for the foundation. “His longstanding commitment to children’s health and investment in Packard Children’s Hospital make him a perfect fit.”
Coslet and his wife, Jeanne Rosner, are long-time supporters of Packard Children’s Hospital and the Stanford University School of Medicine. They’ve invested generously in pediatric cancer programs, including cellular therapy and genomics, and are committed to expanding hospital access to better serve our local community.
First elected to the hospital board in January 2009, Coslet served until December 2017 and was reappointed in January 2019. He is an active member of the Stanford community, sitting on several other boards, including the Board of Fellows for Stanford Medicine, the Advisory Board for the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and the Advisory Council of the Hamilton Project. Previously, he served on the Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Economic Advisory Council.
Coslet earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and a Loeb Fellow. He received his BSE in Economics (Finance) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was valedictorian, summa cum laude, a Gordon Fellow, and a Steur Fellow.
