What a day! On Saturday, June 21, nearly 3,000 Scamper-ers walked, ran, rolled, and sprinted across the finish line.
Together, we raised a record-breaking total—over $900,000—for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and the child and maternal health programs at the Stanford School of Medicine. Since 2011, Summer Scamper has raised more than $7 million for children’s health.
From the 5k Walk/Run to the Kids’ Fun Run, Summer Scamper was bursting with energy and heart. The Family Festival kept the fun going with music, family-friendly activities, entertaining and informational booths, delicious food and refreshing drinks, and lots of joy and laughter.
We’re grateful to this year’s Patient Heroes: Mikayla, 7, San Francisco; Jocelyn, 14, Mountain View; Lauren, 16, Emerald Hills; Maddie and Leo, a mom and son from Palo Alto; Rubi, 6, Hollister; and Taneesh, 18, Milpitas. Making the day extra special, our Patient Heroes counted down the start of the 5k and joined us on the Festival Stage.
It was truly an event to remember!
Summer Scamper wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our corporate sponsors, including Gardner Capital, Altamont Capital Partners, CDW, The Clement Palo Alto, CM Capital Foundation, The Draper Foundation, Joseph J. Albanese, Inc, Lifetime Cardinal, Parachute, Perkins Coie, Sheraton Palo Alto, Santa Clara Family Health Plan, Stanford Federal Credit Union, The Westin Palo Alto, and Waymo.
And special thanks to our amazing volunteers, including athletes from the Stanford University football and women’s basketball teams.
Best of all, the fun doesn’t need to end—you can view and download photos from the day and follow us on Instagram for more great content. We can’t wait to see you next year!
