Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health Seeks Grant Applications

PALO ALTO- The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health invites nonprofit child health organizations serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties to submit requests for funding by May 13.

The Foundation’s two areas of grantmaking interest are: 1) protect children from injury (ages 0 to 5), with an emphasis on preventing neglect, child abuse and other forms of intentional injury; and 2) promote emotional, mental and behavioral health in preteens (ages 9 to 13). Applications are sought only in these two areas.

Initial requests for funding in the form of a letter of inquiry (LOI) are due May 13. Applicants who are invited to submit full proposals will receive further information later. The foundation’s board of directors will make final funding decisions in November 2002.
