A woman and a man smile together for a professional portrait in an indoor office setting. The woman wears a purple blouse and cardigan with a pearl necklace, and the man wears a black blazer over a white shirt. Both are smiling warmly at the camera.

For more than five decades, Paul and Maureen Roskoph have been pillars in our community of donors who support Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Maureen began volunteering at our hospital in 1973, and Paul built a long and accomplished career helping his clients give to charity through their estates. To the Roskophs, it made perfect sense that their estate plan included the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health as a beneficiary. They consulted with the Foundation’s Office of Gift Planning to establish an estate gift in 2007.

Foundation staff were deeply saddened to learn of Maureen’s passing in December 2025 and consider it an honor to carry forward her legacy.

A past member of the Palo Alto and Roth Auxiliaries, Maureen’s volunteerism touched many parts of Packard Children’s, including the hospital gift shop, reading programs within our heart and cancer centers, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she served as a “cuddler” for babies.

Paul recently retired from a prestigious career as an attorney. A sought-after speaker on estate and tax planning and a champion of creating charitable legacies, he has worked with high-net-worth individuals, venture capitalists, and private foundations.

We are deeply grateful to Paul for his unwavering support, and we pay tribute to Maureen’s extraordinary life—a life that will continue to inspire others and improve the well-being of children and expectant mothers for generations to come.
