家庭主导的学术大查房(FLAG):被取消——医疗保健领域家庭话语权被贬低
家庭主导的学术盛会 (FLAG) 轮 flips the traditional grand rounds structure by featuring families of children with medical complexity (CMC) as medical educators. This pilot series focused on ableism in pediatric health care and its impact on CMC and their families.
In the fifth and final FLAG Rounds session of this series, three family faculty told their stories of being dismissed while seeking health care for their children with disabilities. Despite their experiences of ableism in pediatric health care settings, the family faculty emphasized the importance of partnering with clinicians to build professionalism and improve communication.
Speakers:
- Ellie Acuna
