Know Your Appeal Rights for the California Children’s Services Program
The California Children’s Services (CCS) Program can often be challenging to navigate for families of children with complex health needs. CCS children and their families may experience delays, denials, reductions, discontinuances or other changes to their benefits. If this happens, families have the legal right to appeal and assert their child’s rights to access the care they need through the CCS Program. This fact sheet from the National Health Law Program is designed to inform families about the steps they can take to appeal decisions about their child’s CCS benefits and highlight key resources available to support the process.
