Historias familiares de padres de niños con necesidades especiales de atención médica infantil y juvenil

Si se necesita a toda una comunidad para criar a un niño sano, ¿qué se necesita para criar a un niño con necesidades especiales? En 2016, la Fundación Lucile Packard para la Salud Infantil contrató a Deanne Fitzmaurice, fotógrafa ganadora del Premio Pulitzer, para averiguarlo. Deanne acompañó a 10 familias de distintas partes de California —desde granjas rurales hasta grandes centros urbanos y los suburbios que rodean Silicon Valley— que cuidan a sus hijos con necesidades especiales día y noche.
