State Medicaid programs provide health care coverage for nearly half of all CYSHCN and have an opportunity to strengthen care coordination services and systems for these children. There are a variety of approaches that states can use to finance care coordination services. This brief highlights financing approaches across Medicaid programs in five states: California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Wisconsin.

This publication can be used to support the implementation of high-quality care coordination as outlined in the National Care Coordination Standards for CYSHCN.
