Pediatric Subspecialty Physician Workforce: A Growing Crisis

The Children’s Specialty Care Coalition (CSCC) hosted a virtual legislative briefing on the recently released commissioned report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine titled, The Future Pediatric Subspecialty Physician Workforce: Meeting the Needs of Infants, Children, and Adolescents. The briefing introduced the report’s key findings and policy recommendations, highlighted the experience of physician experts in California on the challenges of physician recruitment and retention, provided insight into families’ experiences accessing care, and introduced what policymakers can do to drive change.
