Ընտանեկան ղեկավարությամբ ակադեմիական մեծ (FLAG) փուլեր flips the traditional grand rounds structure by featuring families of children with medical complexity (CMC) as medical educators. This pilot series focused on ableism in pediatric health care and its impact on CMC and their families.

The second FLAG Rounds session featured three family faculty who told stories on the importance of language in caring for CMC, as it can dehumanize patients and contribute to the fragmentation of health care systems. The family faculty offered strategies on how clinicians can partner with families to build trust and use word choice to improve care.
