Entrance of the West Building

The transformation of the West Building at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, where we care for moms and babies, is underway.

This building has always been special: its warmth, its connection to nature, its integrated model of care, and its link to the adult hospital. All of that will remain the same.

Soon, families will experience state-of-the-art delivery rooms designed with the space medical teams need during delivery, more room for partners to stay comfortably overnight, and easy access to the Antepartum unit, operating rooms, and infant stabilization area. The lobby will become an open, elegant hub with a sleek welcome desk, bright indoor and outdoor spaces, and thoughtfully curated art throughout.

To provide a better sense of what’s ahead, we’ve created two fly-through videos that take you through the space as it evolves.
