Just like other kids across California, young patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford are getting ready for a new school year—except school looks a little different for them. Between treatment plans, surgeries, and hospital stays, they’re still finding time to complete schoolwork, make art, learn to code, and do all the things curious, growing kids do.
So, this year, we reached out to our wonderful donor community to collect encouraging words for kids in the hospital. And we were blown away by your response—here are just a few of the many heartfelt notes you shared:
- Enjoy the new school year—you’ll be learning so many new amazing things! Speaking of amazing, you…you can do anything you put your mind to!
- Wishing you a seriously awesome school year!!! You’ve got this! Hugs.
- Wishing you an amazing school year filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and fun adventures! Remember to be curious, be kind, and let your light shine bright!
- Sending you a big hug, lots of hope, and a backpack full of love.
- Wishing you a wonderful school year that brings you confidence, fun, and many, many reasons to smile!
Bring 2X the Joy to Kids in the Hospital
This back-to-school season, your gift will make twice the impact to ensure that learning doesn’t stop when treatment starts.
Thank you to everyone who took a moment to write words of encouragement, share a favorite school memory, or simply say you’re thinking of them. Each note is one more reason for kids at Packard Children’s Hospital to feel supported as they head back to school this year.
