Christine Lin is a dedicated member of the care team at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. She was honored as this year’s Hospital Hero for the impact she makes on cancer patients’ journeys. When Hannah was diagnosed with a high-grade surface osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, she found comfort in Christine’s compassion and support. Grateful, Hannah nominated Christine for the award, saying, “Christine made it all less scary.”

“My favorite part of the job is building genuine relationships with my patients. I love getting to know who they are beyond their diagnosis—what they enjoy, what makes them laugh, and, yes, even the latest slang I need to learn to stay ‘coolʼ in their eyes.”
