Owl Valentine - You're Owl-some!

Thank you to everyone who sent a Valentine’s Day card to a child at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital during February’s American Heart Month. We collected hundreds of heartfelt virtual cards—which featured our hospital’s adorable animal ambassadors such as a bunny, bear, and fox—to share with patients and their families. Along with comforting notes of love and support, donors like you raised more than $44,000 to help children grow up stronger.

This incredible outpouring of support helped unlock a $10,000 challenge gift from Joseph and Megan McCarthy. And thanks to a $10,000 match from Ron and Lisa Sturzenegger, every donation was doubled—sending twice the love to kids who need it most.

Baby swaddled in the NICU being feed with a bottle.
At just 3 days old, Marcus received life-saving heart surgery at Packard Children’s Hospital.

Your love was felt by patients like Marcus, who was born with a rare heart defect that prevented him from getting enough oxygen. Emergency surgery at just 3 days old saved his life.

“Without the experts at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford right on our doorstep, our story might not have had a happy ending,” says his mom, Lena.

Your gifts will help deliver exceptional heart surgery outcomes for critically ill children, accelerate groundbreaking research and innovations, and provide care for the whole child and their family. That’s impact with heart!

It's Not Too Late!

While Heart Month has ended, there's still time to make a difference. Donate today to the Heart Month Match and double your impact for kids and families.
