Purpose

Since 2013, the Foundation has supported Family Voices of California (FVCA) in implementing Project Leadership, a community-based training program designed to increase the number of family representatives able to effectively participate in advisory and decision-making roles within programs serving CYSHCN in California. This grant will enable FVCA to review findings from an evaluation of Project Leadership, plan for the training’s future direction, and develop new programming to meet the needs of diverse families and help prepare them for higher-level engagement aimed at improving health systems and services for CYSHCN.
