Family-Led Academic Grand (FLAG) Rounds: Walking the Line – Giving Care/Forgone Care (and everything in between)
វគ្គជុំនៃការសិក្សាដែលដឹកនាំដោយគ្រួសារ (FLAG) flips the traditional grand rounds structure by featuring families of children with medical complexity (CMC) as medical educators. This pilot series focused on ableism in pediatric health care and its impact on CMC and their families.
During the fourth FLAG Rounds session, two family faculty shared personal stories about the balance between providing care to their children with disabilities, and the risk of that care being forgone. The family faculty provided strategies to facilitate accessible and compassionate health care.
Speakers:
- Lora Batson, MPAS, PA-C
- Anastacia Newton, MA
